And here is what he had to say:
"On a mirage field of blue, another Panga seeks asylum in Santa Barbara."

I sense a good business opportunity in buying used Panga boats and taking them back to Mexico for resale.

My mom said that's what they used to do with parrots down at the border. You'd buy one in TJ; it would be confiscated at the border, taken back and sold over again, around and around. Might have explained why those I saw in TJ looked so tired.

They have to destroy the Pangas or they get back into a life of crime, according to NPR.

Pangas are great boats. They wouldn't make it this far if they weren't. I thought they auctioned off this kind of confiscated property. I'd buy one in a minute.

What ever happened to the "super panga" with 4 350 HP outboards they kept at the harbor?

I love pangas but would never own one. You could not take it anywhere north of the border without being stopped and searched repeatedly.

Panga's are ok, but Ganga is great. If it wasn't there would be no Pangas!
