Is there currently a Cox outage? My phone line keeps dropping calls and my internet connection has gone
down twice in an hour - both are Cox.

I've always found the best way to find out is to call Cox Cable, but if your phone is out, that may present a problem. Is everything back again? If not, perhaps you could use your cell.

Internet is fine around 2000 De la Vina. Dropping calls, yes. Must learn if cordless phones need new batteries...

The problem I have with my "Cox bundle" is not TV or telephone, it is failure to provide reliable internet access. The access fails almost everyday for at least and hour or two, sometimes longer. When I call to complain they want to set up another appointment for a technician to come out again and the appointment is so far in the future problem is gone that same day. When the technician arrives they tinker around and then offers some silly excuse without fixing the problem. The last time they assured me it was the router. They informed I could either buy a new one or rent one from them for a monthly charge. I opted to rent a new one but, (you guessed it) it did not fix the access problem! In my view COX is the worst provider around, but finding an alternative in my area (Tuckers Grove vicinity) is just about impossible, I tried. COX is an example of why having a monopoly leads to poor and expensive service.
