417: A subject is brandishing a knife at the Linden Square Volleyball Courts. Cutting the net and acting strangely per reporting party.

I am the person who reported this guy to the law enforcement agencies that responded. He was talking to himself and was either drunk or high and had an open blad knife. He did not threaten anyone but was trying to cut the rope around the volleyball beach border. Then he climbed up on the net and was damaging it with his weight. There was a group of about 12 enjoying their lunch watching this guy do his hijinks. No pun intended. He did not resist arrest.

Thank you for reporting him. Sucks that City Parks & Rec has to buy a new net just because yet another whack job cuts it up. Grrrr.....

I played down there a few weeks ago - at ~10:30am we were harassed by a man who reeked of alcohol - it was tough to get him to leave our court in the middle of our game!

633, that's when you call 911, get him out of there (public drunkeness). Hope you come back and have a better experience.
