Arroyo Burro Hike

Yesterday I became acquainted with the Arroyo Burro Trail. Instead of following Jesusita Trail to the right on the way up from the water treatment plant, I took the trail less traveled, and fell in love with the vistas of Arroyo Burro Trail. I initially followed paved driveways and dirt roads, before catching a footpath meandering through sage, manzanita and incredible rock outcroppings. The path was relatively unkept and unstable in areas: long pants and shoes with good tread were necessities!
