January 13, 2013 - Cool Breeze
Our local weather-people have been reporting some chilly weather hitting the Santa Barbara area this week. For your information, a freeze warning is in
effect from 1 am to 9 am PST Sunday and the freeze watch is also in effect from late Sunday night through Monday morning. With that said, it's probably
best to put off your weekly dip in the ocean or late night picnic. Remember to keep your fingers and toes covered, crank up the mini heat dish, stove, or
clunky 1930's heater and stay warm. We have a strong Edhat lineup to keep you occupied between commercials of the NFL Playoff games.
Our Cat of the Week is Dara, she tends to purr like an idling truck and will eat just about anything. Our Dog of the Week is Pedro,
a vicious face kisser with a spunky personality. The Non-profit of the Week is Community Seafood who works to provide locals with fresh fish from the Santa
Barbara Channel. Billy Goodnick is back with his crimes against horticulture, and he also discovered a fun meme app on his iPhone. The Urban Hikers may
have stumbled upon the next big drama to hit television, Casa Dorinda the Downton Abbey of Montecito. David Powdrell witnessed some sweet surf action,
Poncho gives a pooch's perspective on dog adoption, and the Indie Film Guru looks at foreign films from 2012.

Horticulture. |

|

After opening with a delicate contemporary Japanese soundscape, two stars from the New York
Philharmonic reunite in Santa Barbara for Mozart's masterful Sinfonia Concertante for Violin and Viola.
The evening culminates with one of the finest romantic orchestral works, the famous "Scottish"
Symphony by Mendelssohn, said to be inspired by the composer's evening twilight visit to the haunted
