Around the World

Last year i gave my postcard collection from places around the world to two children with a world map for them to pinpoint the postcards' pictured location. They seemed to enjoy that. Now I have another 150 post cards from Europe, the USA, and Australia - do Edhat readers have suggestions where these might be donated?

Schools perhaps that idea you suggested would be great for geography

Try Art From Scrap. Kids can turn them into art.

Not everything is worthy of a donation... How about just going to a pen pal site and sending some notes to some lonely people.

How about writing to our troops station overseas. Give them a beautiful picture to look at and a nice note thanking them.

Art From Scrap, definitely. I like the troops idea, but you were asking for where to give them away, and AFS is perfect for that. And these are very worthy of a donation. If the kids there don't use them for a project, they'll sell them in the store section.

The art teacher at La Cumbre junior High School would probably use them. 687-0761

I think it is really cool that you have these. They would make awesome valentines for children to write to people either in the hospital or hospice care. I think children would really like to see the cards, and could also do something nice with them. If you need someone to contact ... I teach at La Colina and would enjoy using them in my class....if either of these ideas appeals to you. edhat can put us in touch.
