I live downtown and my Cox Internet isn't working, is that happening to anyone else or is it just my router?

I had that experience on and off yesterday and ended up tethering to my phone for uninterrupted service.

I have Cox and it works fine. How are you posting this without service?

I have Cox & live on the West side. My computer had slowed way down. Cox came out & checked the lines & it turned out I needed a new modem. Went to Best Buy & now everything is fast again.

I live downtown, and I've also had problems in the past, always in the morning. I even called once to see what was up, and they said they showed no problems on their end. I would check each time, and no problems on my end either. The problem would always magically resolve itself within an hour.

We had blips all weekend on the cable TV, and the internet was so slow at times. We live up by 154. In addition to Cox, we get Netflix, and it was refusing to run off and on all weekend, and last night. Got Downton Abby, though. :-D

We have Cox and cable AND internet is caput. On the Mesa. HOwever, this could also be a wiring problem that's individual to the house.

I was experiencing no service with Cox internet too but phone and cable (still Cox) were working fine. This out in the E. Noleta area.

In Noleta service has been intermittent for 2 weeks plus. Something is going on.

I would not be surprised if this was a Cox issue.

However, I've also seen mystery Cox internet problems that were on the customer side. A friend recently had speed problems and it turns out the cable modem was bad (some cable modems allow you to do a signal strength check, that often is a good diagnostic to tell you there's a problem closer to your end).

I also had intermittent Cox Internet service one year ... it turns out water had gotten into my coax cable! Cox came and promptly laid some new cable and used good water-tight sealed connectors.

Our TV gets the jaggies when it rains. Gets better in a couple days. It doesn't rain that often, and it's just TV, so we haven't called Cox. If your internet is consistently bad with Cox, you might ask yourself, "How old is my modem?"

Our modem is about 10 months old. We called Cox right after Xmas, to complain about server being down, after it happened about five times. (I had already done the plug and unplug the modem dance.) Nice lady said she'd check it on their end. Told me she fixed it. Everything ran great until three days ago.

Incredibly frustrating. Never know when it's going to go out. My boyfriend attributes it to high use and people playing with all of their new iPads, iPhones, laptops, etc. I can't see this as being the only cause; not when I see "Not connected to server" (or whatever) at 2am. (This is at top of Olive St.)

My feeling is Cox just can't "serve" all of its clients properly, having misjudged power needed/usage. If it happens to me one more time, I am calling again and getting my small rebate for my pain and suffering. Gah.

Happens to me almost every day when the domain name (internet access) goes down for hours. I live in the "Noleta" area.
