Maybe, maybe paneolus but could also maybe be a marasmius.

Definitely an LBM, though. (LBM=Little Brown Mushroom)

075: Did you take a class with Dr Bob, too? (Loved the LBM term, and he's who I learned it from, although I know it's a common mycology term.)

Ah the ubiquitous LBMs. Without clearer pictures, spore prints, and seeing all stages of development that fungus could be one of hundreds, thousands of mushrooms. Cute little shrooms, though. ;)

I see a blackish cap and pink spores (yes?). If so, it will probably key out (in MD) to Leptonia parva, but definitive identification to species depends on more detailed microscopic features, such as spore ornamentation, gill cystidia, etc. Edibility listed as "unknown". Many species in this group are toxic.
