Monterey Bay and Avila
updated: Dec 25, 2012, 11:00 AM

Max Rosenberg flew to the Monterey Bay on Christmas Eve and much like Santa, looked down at the
scenery.
I landed on a private airstrip near Big Sur, Carmel and Monterey Bay on Christmas Eve.

R to L, that's Avila (San Luis Bay) Pismo Beach, Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach and Oceano in the 'Avila' shot. Amazing what 5" of rain at the right time of year can do. Local developer wants to add 1500 homes , G.C., winery, hotels, etc in narrow Price Canyon area, along the RR tracks and on steep hillsides above, directly inland of Pismo Beach. So may not stay this way for long.

Thanks! I love to see familiar places from the air to see how it all fits together!
