Traffic Accident: A vehicle is over the side of Hwy 101 Southbound in the Gavoita area of Highway 1.

No ones in the car they are still looking around..Cal Star was canceled medics driving in just in case theres a victim.

Car down in the ravine. Calstar on the way but deemed "useless" and canceled - due to location no where to land. Now someone is asking again for Calstar... It was reported that the driver jumped before the car went down, they are looking around with thermal imagers in the bushes for him/her.

I travel to Lompoc so often and took 154 yesterday and the 101 back to Goleta. I'm always so thankful these incidents don't occur when I'm on the road. I must admit I'm interested in hearing more details on this. Thaks Roger Dodger!

Rodger - can you translate this from CHP? are they saying the guy was found at the rest area? Or CHP is requesting more units to look for him there...? [Notification] [CHP]-3-R1 REQ ADV UNITS HE WAS UTL ON A TC TO THE REST AREA [Shared]

UTL = unable to locate TC = traffic collision Requesting advance units to check to the rest area. (A Google search helped with the translation. Seems to fit, though.)

Thanks Pam I understood the abbreviations, its just the wording wasn't too clear. And there wasn't any TC other than him going over the side - so it sounded like maybe there was either a suspicion of a TC or the guy being at rest area already. Haven't heard anything else so far. But there is a suicide attempt 800 block of Alberta Ave near Chino St - overdose of Adderall.

I didn't mention the exact address, and I've seen reports such as people at the bridge, etc, on here. Anyway, you're right about better to not be too detailed on those. And no one was testing you, Rodger.
