Here are some great photos of the parade that reflect the diversity of the groups that marched down
Milpas. The parade pulled in dignitaries and youth from all over the city, as well as classic cars.

See? It wasn't all lowriders like all the uptight posters yesterday were complaining. The Milpas parade, I think, is much more entertaining than the stuffy Christmas parade on State street. It has much more diversity which reflects our local community.

At least it show more diversity than the other post. I wasn't sure what the other pictures were, there didnt seem to be a bow, gift box, string of garland, santa hat or anything holiday looking about it. Looked like another day in East LA.

The lowriders were the BEST part! Well, that and the senor who was all dressed up in his spanish garb and singing BEAUTIFULLY! The Milpas parade highlights the part of SB that made this white girl wish she was darker skinned all of her childhood :) I loved taking my kids to see it and showing them the rich cultural part of our city.

I miss the days when this parade had a ton of lowriders, it was a nice change to the cookie cutter holidays we see all the time and great to see the passion that some of our community has towards their cars...

I don't think the negative comments came from haters of Racial Harmony those comments came from haters of Edhat you could see who they are if you just happen to be friends with them on Facebook. After reading the comments there I have offically de-friended these people. Now I'm beginning to see what is really going on here.

Thanks for beautiful photos. so nice with the sun out. The State Street Parade used to be in the day too, 40s and 50s; took the kids to nighttime ones in the early 60s.
