Chickens on the Loose

Four good-looking chickens have been on the loose the past few days toward the end of Kenwood
(off Cheltenham). Does the owner want to round them up?

I was hoping to see a picture of these good looking chickens. (Some of us like animals and don't really want to eat the ones we meet!)

There were two on my driveway yesterday morning as I was leaving for work on Paseo tranquillo. I was taking my dog to the kennel and he just about killed one of them right there in front of our kids. Would not of been pretty. I thought they were supposed to be in cages?

As long as they're good-lookin'. Nothing like an ugly chicken to set me off.

Aren't wild chickens a sign of the impending Apocalypse? Oh, wait...no, I guess that's locusts. Locusts...chickens...all the same thing, I guess. It's all good. Chickens prolly taste better, though.

Maybe something happened to the owner and the chickens found their way out for food and that's why they haven't come to round them up? I would be concerned that one of my neighbors may not be okay.... check on your neighbors!

Heheheh.... I love it! Announcing on Edhat that someone's chickens are on the loose and asking that they be rounded up. Funny. But I guess if someone's dog got a hold of one and tore it to shreds in front of the kids it would be a horrendous lesson for the young'uns to learn.... ie. dogs are predators and kill things unless you keep them leashed or under voice control.

If you know who has the chickens normally in their yard, why not knock on their door and kindly let them know they've escaped? I'm sure they want to keep the chickens alive and laying and they're not safe out where dogs and raccoons can get them... Please be a good neighbor before someone else isn't. Happy holidays!
