October 30? October frickin' THIRTIETH?? Wow, SBPD, what's the rush? You really think this dude is still around? Maybe if this picture had posted, say, oh I don't know...maybe a day or so after the crime occurred, you might have had a better chance of someone seeing him around.

270P. You're making the assumption that the person whom this CC belongs to noticed that their credit card was used right away. If this was a card that wasn't used often, why would the owner suspect anything was wrong or even the card was missing until the billing statement arrived 30 days later.

Agreed, 270P. 289 your argument is valid too, but it seems to be the norm that these posts are made months and months after the fact. I find it hard to believe every single incident goes undiscovered for months.

I can't identify him either, but I thought the pattern on his shirt was funny for someone who's breaking the law. I remember that pattern from old cartoons of people in prison.

I think maybe part of the reason these pictures are released later than it seems practical is a combination of the lag in reporting time AND the fact that the police are conducting a criminal investigation in which giving a picture to the public is the LAST resort after their investigation proves fruitless. I wouldn't criticize as much as try to understand, but that's just me.
