What is going on near Cota St? There are police cars blocking off streets for what
looks like a march of some kind. Odd it would be at night.

No. They are proceeding onto Cota from Salsipuedes towards Milpas. Looks like some are wearing mariachi attire.

It is the procession for Our Lady of Guadalupe. They walk from the church to ortega park or the other way cant remember. They have a mariachi serenading her journey

Dec. 12, the celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe who appeared to Juan Diego in 1500s on Mt. Tepeyac, Mex. City. Our Lady of Guadalupe is the mother of all Catholic Christians and is celebrated on this date. She asked Juan Diego to have the Cathedral of Our Lady built on site in Mex. City. Other names for Our Lady, Virgin Mary Mother of God, Blessed Mary. A beautiful mass and ceremony held throughout the world in her honor yesterday evening, with singing of Las Mananitas. She is also the Mother of the Americas....A beloved mother to all Catholics.
