Another example of why people are angry at government, especially public safety, retirement. This guy is already retired with BIG money from LA fire. He apparently has wrangled some "consulting" work from SM and now will be hired as their chief for a couple of years when he will retire with another big retirement payout from this district. I am completely sympathetic to the idea of public and private service retirement programs but I am always amazed at how the programs are manipulated by the big shots with the cooperation of the big shots. Or maybe I am wrong. Maybe this guy agree to work without retirement benefits in his new Public Service capacity?
