Community: Power outage in the area of San Ysidro Rd / Mountain Drive

There is a reported power outage in the area of San Ysidro Rd / Mountain Drive.

Southern California Edison (SCE) indicates that this is due to damaged equipment and they are in the process of making repairs.

SCE estimates time of completion to be 5:00 p.m. today.

If you are paying attention there have been a number of SCE related emergencies lately . I believe that SCE has been neglecting maintenance that we are being charged for . The recent fire below Painted Cave was caused by a downed wire. Transformer falls off pole at the Girls Club. Miracle no one was hurt in that one. Numerous wires down , power outages , fires and other maintenance related issues. Please join me in urging our public servants to tell SCE to do proper maintenance which we are no doubt charged for as part of our monthly bill.

Gilbert: I agree with you 100%. Somehow it seems like SCE is spending all of its energy on smart meters and nothing else. It's time for them to get on the ball and make the necessary repairs.

I too agree. It would behoove SB customers to make a single statement, or a flood of statements all at the same time. I believe that individual emails to a single office/contact is the best way to go. Anyone done this before? Have experience complaining to them in the area of community upkeep? Do they have liaisons to cities? I can do some research and would be willing to do some online footwork -- I guess that would be fingertip work. Anyone else? Maybe Edhat can help us create a list or we can find a more creative way to share contact info.

I have emailed the mayor (no response) , Supervisors with S.B. districts , on up to Lois Capps( again , no response) voicing concern about SCE and what I sense is slack maintenance. I encourage you all to contact our local officials with your concerns. Thanks !
