Holiday Soiree
updated: Dec 09, 2012, 7:22 PM

By Robert Bernstein

Robby and Bryan are part of the Solstice and social scene in Santa Barbara!

Saturday 8 December was their annual Holiday Soiree at their home. Even though it was a private party at their home, Robby was happy to have me share a few of my photos with Edhat readers and viewers!

Some lively people and great costumes and decorations!

Here are my photos!

I don't get it - isn't the community invited to purchase tickets and attend the solstice winter event anymore? We keep seeing postings about fundraisers and parties and can't help wondering why we don't hear about them. In 2010 we attended a Holiday event ( fundraiser) that was pitifully under-attended. So much had gone in to creating the evening- including a silent auction- but hardly anyone was there. The puctures are always great but don't tell fhe whole story. I wish Solstice would let us ALL in! We would like to contribute and be part of this artistic community - we have roots in Solstice that go way back in this town - but feel shut out...

The Winter Solstice White Ball fund raiser party is December 21! It is not too late and don't miss it!

These photos were from a private party at Robby and Bryan's cozy home! They were just kind enough to let me share photos publicly!

Yes, a lot of the same Solstice friends you know and love! But you can see them all and more at the public Winter Solstice party! Go to the Events page of the Santa Barbara Summer Solstice web site for more information!

Great photos! I wish I wasn't out of town and I have no idea how so many folks fit into that house! Viva la Doxie Palace!

Thanks for the info about the Winter White Ball - we DO want to support Solstice; what a unique part of this unique city! I encourage everyone in SB to get involved one way or another! Come to their winter party then, next May, sign up to be part of the summer solstice workshop. There's a little job there for everyone! This is the greatest place to meet good new friends! Working together on a purely artistic endeavor? It's one of the most truly collaborative things we can ever do in a lifetime! So much fun and purpose! Happy Holidays Everyone! (Smile!)
