Another "name this item" question. Does anyone know what this item is? The only marking is "Italy" on the bottom of the handled pot. I don't know if the cup goes with it, but they were found together. Coca Cola can included for size reference.

no--you never melt chocolate over direct heat, always in a bowl or pan OVER hot water, or it will burn or seize. Slower melting is better melting. That is a sterno holder for a fondue pot or chafing dish.
