12-12-12 Birthday

It dawned on me during a long bike ride a few months ago that my Dec. 12th birthday falls on one of those
"magical calendar dates" referred to as a numerical coincidence.
My plan is to be somewhere special at precisely 12:12 pm that day for a photo opp. It's a tough decision,
but probably a great lunch spot, significant Santa Barbara landmark with a clock in the fore or background
or some other location is in order. Do you have any great spots in mind? Thanks for the ideas! Oh, when
it's all over, I'll post what I ended up doing.

I saw a GREAT flash mob on wimp.com (Nov 27, "Little Girl and her Father"). You could invite all your friends, have some music you can all sing and dance to, and then go wild at some populous place----like Paseo Nuevo or next to the Dolphin Fountain. (Parking lot at Costco?) It looks like a fantastic way to celebrate your birthday. Have fun! You and your pals will remember it forever. I'd say do it at Courhouse (clock) but not as many people will be able to enjoy your performance.

Why not post where (we already know when) you will celebrate? That way some of us can watch and enjoy and help you "celebrate" from afar. The more, the better the birthday! Flash mob idea sounds like a plan to me. I looked at that vid on Wimp.com. What a blast! If you try Paseo Nuevo, you might want to ask permission first, or just do it out on State St. (public sidewalk). Where will there be the biggest audience at 12:12pm on a Wednesday? UCSB? SBCC?

1212 coast village road at cava restaurant, 12 closest friends at table #12, at 12:12 pm, make sure your bloody orange margaritas are on the table at the exact time and the universe will smile on your Happy Birthday toast!

yes, I agree with 356P, 1212 State Street, The Marquee a cozy space for a glass of wine to start things off...then yes, 383's suggestion at Cava....you're set for the last time until the 22nd century for that repetitive date.

My thoughts exactly as above: start at 1212 State Street and move on to 1212 Coast Village Road (unless you want to go to Bistro 1111 at Hyatt, 1111 E. Cabrillo Blvd.)
