I would like to make a couple of one of a kind print t-shirts as a gift. Can anyone recommend a local
source?

Check out Isla Vista Screenprinting! Talk to Garret - he's one of the owners and can pretty much make you whatever you want! I had him print me some sweatshirts with old NBA Throwback logos and they turned out great. He's your guy (and support a local business)!! Office phone 805-845-1333

That lady that used to own We The People has a marketing company that has some machine that can make one offs with no set up charges or something like that.

LOCAL - Definitely try ID Works....310 E. Cota. The have Direct-to-Garment printing which means that you save on costly set-up fees for silk screening and the like. Find them online at idworks(dot)info. However...uberprints(dot)com does advertise on Edhat, so they can't be all bad. Looks like this company is based in Georgia.

I second Garrett at Isla Vista Silkscreening! He can do anything you want and at a reasonable price with high quality and in a timely manner. And he's a really nice guy on top of that!

You can buy iron-on sheets at an office store-- print with an inkjet printer and iron the pattern on the shirt.

Table Salt Screenprinting in the funk zone is my go to: Earl is great with design, can handle small projects quickly and happily, and is very experienced. He handles it all from design to delivery, a true local one man bicycle powered funk zone phenomenon. 564-3359

Second Earl at Table Salt. I have used him for a number of shirt projects. He is also a great graphic artist and has done a great job either refining your own artwork or creating from scratch. Also a long time local.

I have used both cafepress and IDWorks. IDWorks is far superior , faster , costs less and much nicer to deal with a local business.
