It does look like a painting, French Classical or Renaissance (Art History was a long time ago).

40+ years ago, when we lived right above Thousand Steps, I used to love walking along this very stretch of beach, in this exact kind of weather. There was something infinitely soothing to my soul about doing this several times a week.
