Holiday Light Tour
updated: Nov 30, 2012, 11:19 AM
Are there any other companies that offer a holiday light tour in SB? (Besides the trolley, which is sold out)?

Any cabbie in SB will take you out and about to see the lights for $50 and a ten spot tipperoonie. Plus, you can bring along a bottle and drink to your heart's content in the back seat. Oh yeah, hello Jack D!!

Ooh maybe the un permitted party bus from last year that let people off to urinate on peoples bushes, that one sounded festive! forgive the sarcasm. None that I'm aware of or would recommend :)

Above All Aviation offers FAA approved Scenic Flights to see the lights. Weather permitting of course.

You can drive the same route as the trolleys, we did this last year with the kids and it was better than the trolley. Played Christmas music in the car, the kids were bundled in a blanket, better and much less expensive than the trolley. We can't wait to do it again this year.

I agree...there are TONS of alternatives for transportation. And since the trolley`s are sold-out...I beg the drivers to lay off the booze this year til AFTER the show.

DeeTours of Santa Barbara does a WONDERFUL holiday lights tour. They also provide blankets, hot cocoa, it was a truly great time we had last year! Call Dee or Sandy at (805)448-8425.

How does one go about finding the route for the trolley? I'm certainly interested in doing the Above All Aviation tour, that would be phenomenal! I flew in to Santa Maria recently and had the chance to view Long Beach to Santa Barbara from the air. It finally clicked for me as to why people love this area, it's amazing to see the lush mountains and greenery in the city.

I have an excellent Christmas Lights map I can send to Edhat to post here (which I'll do after posting this). You can rent the Land Shark which I have done. It's quite reasonable and they were very accommodating as to my groups wants.

Another vote for DeeTours. They are great and can even customize tours for you if you have a group. Friendly and fun. http://www.deetoursofsb.com/
