November 25, 2012 - Foggy Dew

Santa Barbara has been covered in a thick fog recently. If you live higher up the mountains it will look like a misty sea covers the entire town, just like this photo from the Urban Hikers. I bet urban hiking sure is difficult when you can't see! Hopefully everyone is driving carefully on those misty roads.

Well the Thanksgiving holiday has slowed things down a bit. Everyone seems to be moving at a slower and more pleasant pace. It must be the copious amounts of turkey we've all consumed and we are thankful for the slower pace. Except of course for those Black Friday shoppers, wow are they determined. Some are camped outside for days just to get a discounted TV, now that's dedication.

Our cat of the week is Thomasina, the calico hostess who greets all who visit with a smile and a purr and our dog of the week is Ty-Phoon, the very energetic Boston Terrier. Our non-profit of the week is the Dos Pueblos Engineering Academy and Marc Liberts discusses his thoughts on wine before dinner. David Powdrell took a trip to Paris and our Teen Voice columnist defines success.
