Metro Movie Number
updated: Nov 07, 2012, 10:35 AM

By Edhat Subscriber

So, I lost my wallet, and I'm pretty sure it was at the Metro 4 Movie Theatre. But now I look, and they list absolutely ZERO contact information. An email address they won't respond to, and the phone number for the Movie Tickets hotline. What's up with that policy? How many wallets do they aquire a day by not offering any way to check except driving in and quizzing the ticket seller? ABSURD!

Anyone have a working phone number?

No need to drive there & ask the ticket seller. I'd drive there & ask the manager. He'd probably be more helpful. Plus, if it was something as important as a wallet, I'd want to ask in person anyway.

The Independent says that the number is (805)963-9503

Here is a google tip for when you can't find a local number to a chain establishment - add "805" to your search will make finding a local number will be much easier.

It really is a bad deal when you lose your wallet. The Theatre is not to blame, however.

I would think you would have high-tailed it over there in person, and made sure everyone knew you wanted your wallet back.

Plus, some other theatre goer probably picked it up. Whenever we go to the movies, if we sit further up front, we always scan the aisles a bit as we leave the theatre. You never know what you may find . . .

That 963 9503 number is no good, I think it is the old automated movie hotline number, seems familiar.

C'mon man, take responsibility for your actions. YOU lost your wallet (sucks and I'm sorry for you) and now you're whining you can't find it remotely. Go down there and talk to the manager.

Ask who their cleaning crew is and check with them also. I used to clean theatres we found wallets all the time sometimes they got stuck in the seats.

300: Exactly. Go to where you lost it and ask if they have it.

i agree, going over in person is the best bet to getting your wallet back. but i also agree, there should be a working phone to the movie theater directly, not to some automated hotline.

They have a lost and found. But they don't keep stuff very long. Go to the ticket booth.

The point is not that it's the OP's own fault for losing his or her wallet - after all most of us have done it at least once in our lives - but that the Metro Theater management has had a policy for years of making themselves unavailable to the public to comment or enquire about anything. There have been a number of occasions when I have wanted to draw their attention to something, but have been unable to find any way to contact them. And a friend recently experienced exactly the same problem as the OP. Perhaps a representative of the theater chain would post their contact information here for us.

The only way you can get the direct number to the theatre is if you work there or know someone that does and will give you the number. Its a slim chance it's still in the seat with higher probability that another goer or an employee found a new accessory to add to their collection. Sorry.

Thank you, ESL TEACHER! That is the point of this post, not that it is the fault of the person who lost thier wallet. No one loses a wallet on purpose! Geez!

We are Metro. We have a monopoly. Why would you expect us to care about you, the customer?

I looked up Metropolitan Theaters via Google and found their LA number: 310-858-2800

That's a long way away and may not be very responsive but it is a listed number. Let us know what happens.

Don't relie on calling. GO there! I once called a retaurant over lost keys, and the person on the phone said there was no sign of them. Went back and the waiter had set them aside. Go!

They eventually emailed me and were very thorough in trying to look for it.

Good people. I just would like to see a email address, or phone number that is entirely focused on lost and found.
