Here we are once again, Happy Hump Day! It's fall, starting to get cool outside days are getting shorter pretty soon we will have more dark than light. The shelter will be opening up for some of the homeless that need to be in a warm environment unable to sleep out in the cold. Some people will still be sleeping outside my guess is that the people that sleep outside will be younger able to take the cold, I was like that once. There will be others looking for a home to squat in, I'm sure that's happening now but will happen more as it gets cooler. If you own a home that is empty, or you're a realtor that goes out and checks on empty homes please do not go alone to check on the homes. Consider hiring a security patrol service to check on the homes. I hear of squatters in empty homes it is not an uncommon thing for people to illegally enter a home and live in it even though it is not theirs. Most of the time when squatters are discovered with a little help from the police they move on. However you never know about people. Some might be SNOT all there you don't want to end up on someone's dinner plate so never go alone to check on your property. It's unlikely that would happen but you never know, never check alone.
I squatted in a couple places when I was younger one time in an apartment that was up for rent the door was unlocked once you got into the apartment building. I had friends that lived in the building I only stayed for one night I was a runaway from a boy's home I was in and did not want to go back. Staff members were driving around looking for me and my girlfriend we ran away together. That was the time we hitched from Fort Wayne to Niagara Falls just before Christmas it was as cold as HELL. 7 Below on the way there with that lovely wind chill that cut thru your bones like butter and burned when your skin was chapped. The only other buildings I squatted in were totally abandoned windows knocked out, holes in walls etc. What was interesting about those places is that they usually had their utilities still on. There was this old Railroad building in Fort Wayne next to the tracks, two stories tall ripped apart inside but there were some chairs, a couple beds, a stove, the gas was on so we could cook heat up water. It was still freezing ARS cold but moving blankets kept us warm.
I never broke in anyone's home to stay warm even if I knew it was empty some laws are different with squatters but breaking into a place is against the law to me. There are some laws on the books where squatting might be considered trespassing, it's different in some states. You can research the laws if your interested by using Google.
Update on the neighborhood 415, I was hanging with the landlord the other day he was cutting some brush and I was cleaning it up. He asked me how me and Ricardo was getting along? I told him I did not like Ricardo anymore. I could tell by the look on his face that he wasn't very happy about that. I think someone fed him a load of B.S. I'm staying the HELL away from Ricardo, I don't trust him the dude is trouble and I'm staying far, far away. That doesn't mean that I cannot live next door to him I will just ignore him as I have been doing for the past couple of weeks.
