Franceschi Park Vandals

I found myself up at Franceschi Park this morning, and was really disappointed to see that the head statue
had been defaced recently with a large "K" under one eye. I imagine this is a gang sign. I image how
amazing the lower part of the park across the street would have looked like in it's glory years. Everything is
so dead and dried up now. Anybody know how old these parks are?
