Bottle service can maybe make sense in a larger city, or a very popular venue when you have a larger group of people since it "guarantees" a table or booth rather than standing around all night. It's best for actual parties or events.

In SB or in situations where it's just two or three people, it's a huge waste of money and usually revolves around someone wanting to show off and impress people rather than actually making some sense.

It's all part of the good time, if you have money to burn. To each his/her own.

Ha, 376! Though to be fair, the only people I ever see using bottle service are 22 year old boys, so....

I asked for bottle service last night at the Sportsman and the bartender conked me on the head with a Budweiser.

394 - you took the words right of my mouth. One more cliche, since you used the one I was going to: live and let live.

376. c'mon, this is a community. I am a 21 y/o that uses this for useful info on the city. I'm sure you've played your part, or at least your "audience" has. Let the community do their part! or at least ask the questions they want. Don't be a sour puss!

What is "bottle service" anyway? I don't get out much...

you need bottle service to guarantee you have a safe place to stash your coats and purses and a place to sit down when your feet hurt from dancing around your table. No waiting for the cocktail waitress or the busy bartenders is also a MAJOR PLUS

My younger brother was out with friends in Vegas and had bottle service at a poolside party at the Wynn Hotel. They got one of those huge bottles of Vodka, and I think it cost them over $1000.

Anyway, they didn't finish the bottle, and my brother poured the rest of the Vodka into a plastic water bottle, which he left on the bathroom counter in our hotel room. The next morning I woke up, quite hungover from my exploits, and in desperate need of some Aleve for my headache. I reached for that bottle of "water" to wash down the pills and took a healthy toke.

Moral: Always take a whiff before drinking from a previously opened bottle of water

Bottle service is perfect when it's free. It's all about who you know.

Why would you go to a club to have a good time? From what I read, all there are are fights, rapes, drunkeness, and a lousy atmosphere. I'd like to get rid od them all. (Boy, I'll get flamed by the club-goers)

Auntie S...I find the hoodlums whooping it up at the many various lawn bowling venues in town very menacing. There is cigar smoking, swapping of prescription viagra and a general climate of danger. Can we ban them along with your clubs, or will you feel better after your bottle service of Ensure arrives?

Total waste of money. Get sober friends who don't go to clubs and your life will be on the up
