Scanner Reports 10-12-12
updated: Oct 12, 2012, 7:00 AM

By Roger the Scanner Guy

Will here we are into the weekend I don't know if you know but the Weekend usually starts on Thursday as far as partying goes. I stink this is because many people don't work a full FRYday they can hobble thru their hangover for a couple hours. The weekend used to end on Sunday about midafternoon, but now it starts shutting down Tuesday mornings around 3am. That is the time people realize they have to work a couple days each week. I base my findings on listening to the Scanner. The Under the Influence calls seem to slow down a little around those times. It kinda reminds me of back home where the bars closed down at 6am for cleaning and were reopened at 7am. Of course the Observation could be old news since we have everyone and their Grandmothers, Mother, sleeping in our bushes.

I'm wondering if we have any readers here from the Dwight Murphy Park Area? Or Por La Mar? The East Beach Condos? Wednesday evening I heard there was an RV at 400 Block of Por La Mar. Isn't that inside the property past the Guard Gate? Are there still security guards over there? Does anyone know? A lot of illegal camper calls in that area this boarders the Bird Refuge and the Zoo I'm surprised to hear there are illegal campers on the actual condo property over there.

Someone contacted me the other day about not knowing how to program their Scanner. Are there any Scanner experts out there that know how to program Scanners? I actually have someone do mine but he is not always around. Of course I accidently erased the E-Mail of Walt, the guy that needed it done so maybe Walt can send me another message through the editor, and also anyone that can program these Scanners. Just e-mail your phone numbers I'll call you guys, or gals and connect you. It would be a great service to provide programming scanners; it's very frustrating for some of us.

My last Scanner Reports there was a mention of someone attempting to hotwire a Vespa in Goleta on Wednesday night I heard someone was trying to rip off a motorized bike behind a store on Calle Real. It might be smart to get a big old chain lock for added security for those bikes, and scooters. Or maybe position a camera on them so we could all see the thief. I figured out what happened to my Fingerhut Scanner the other day, Mousey unplugged it and that's why it was sucking down battery power. I zapped Mousey's partner with the Zapper and I feel horrible for doing it. I know that means I am not a real man but that's the way it goes. I'm a sensitive guy and SNOT a real man big deal! I don't want to Zap any more mice maybe I'll get Hanta Virus, I probably already got it. It's coming up on a year since Gloria burned to death on Quarantina in the junk yard between Cacique and the Freeway. Ken Williams a friend of mine wrote an article in Noozhawk about her death and the anniversary of it. It was an eye opening article for me if others are interested check it out. It's too bad that not everyone in our city is treated equally Alive or Dead.
