It would be helpful whenever videos or photos like this are released that someone familiar with Photoshop or other techniques of enhancement would enlarge, crop and clarify the perp to the extent possible.

For example, in this video, the perp walks forward toward the camera and presents a pretty good view of himself, his face and his clothing.

Now, enlarge and sharpen a frame and 'Voila' - into the hoosgow!

wow. guy's not too bright. good work business surveillance! Somebody's gotta know this guy. They should put more camera's up to prevent tagging in spots that are tagged over and over (uh, like the freeway wall). I hope he enjoys his community service... if he's lucky enough to avoid jail....

the Video has a time stamp of July 22nd. Why do they wait so long to release this stuff?

953 - good question! They did the same with that video from the camera shop a while back. It was over a month old.

953- they don't like to release evidence such as this video except as a last resort. I guess it takes from July to October for them to determine they aren't able to make any progress with the evidence they have, and have now turned to the public.

953 - Sometimes they are chasing down other leads and don't want to tip their hand. When leads come to dead end, then a pic release to the public.

960: It played on my mac fine, in the browser window (Firefox). Agreed Youtube would be easier, but perhaps they don't want the video searchable or something?

The PD should show the video to local high school teachers to see if they recognize him

What a good point 971! Not only the high school teachers, but the administrators too. Chances are these guys were in the office getting disciplined a few times during high school!

I like how he looks both ways before painting... The lesson he will learn is to also look UP.

I hope they play this on the news too. The video is pretty clear - the dude looks a bit older than a high school kid.

I tried to figure out what he sprayed but the angles are more like symbols. Probably gang related.

I tried to open it on my Mac and I couldn't. A window opened that said I need to "Open it 32-bit." I clicked on that at 5:22 and there was a huge sound, like an earthquake.

As a local business owner (not a rich one, either!) I hope they catch this S.O.B.! We are constantly getting hit and I have to go out there to repaint. It's ugly and pointless. Territorial pissing at its worst. They have scratched our windows too, and I cannot just wash that off. TOUGHER PENALTIES FOR GRAFFITTI are needed! Cut off a thumb, then see how that works for them...

I'm with you, 304. Another business owner here. We had our windows etched during Fiesta this year. Over $1000 to repair that, so it stays. We are constantly painting out tags on our white wall. Police do take it seriously, in my experience, but it's hard to find the guys unless they are very prolific and use the same tag every time.

If they deface by graffiti they need to do public service of cleaning up all the graffiti around town.
