Jellyfish ID
updated: Oct 08, 2012, 8:24 PM

By Edhat Subscriber

I swam right over a jellyfish like this morning at goleta beach and it really scared me. It was all white in the water with long tentacles. I never saw anything like it. I did get stung by a jelly fish but it wasn't that one. It was quite eerie.

It might have been a Peanut Butter Jellyfish, but they're more brownish.

Moon jelly is always the typical jelly that comes to mind. The reproductive organs are pretty prominent on the top if you saw them (4 U shapes around the top of the bell).
