I have a teenage daughter who needs rides from home ( La Cumbre Rd area ) to SB
High school and sometimes to Dance Arts on Calle Caesar Chavez and back home to LA
Cumbre Rd area...is there a student...A teacher that might need some extra income?
All days are up for discussion.

When I was unable to drive because of medical reasons I hired a friend's college student son to take me places. You might consider posting a job listing at SBCC's employment office as a college student might have the flexibility and would welcome a little extra cash.

Look to a Santa Barbara City College student who is willing to help. My daughter is a nanny 2 days of the week and does just that for her charges. A friend of mine hired also hired one as an assistant to drive her older kids so they weren't thinking they were being babysat.

Take the 3, 6, or 11 bus to the transit center then switch to the 2 or 14 (SBHS), or the 20 (Dance Arts).

Maybe there's an underlying issue. I have a child who can't ride a bike, easily take the bus etc. Maybe that's the situation with the OP? The abysmal attempts at frat boy-level humor here are appalling.

I second the bus idea.....isn't that the way we used to get around in the "old days"? You see lots of teenagers and college students riding the bus, unless she has time constraints that make it difficult it's a good choice. Second choice is taxi, at least they are dependable and you won't have to depend on a stranger who may or may not always be able to pick her up. Since you have to pay anyway why not a taxi service?

That's a sketchy neighborhood with a lot of transients, illegals and drug addicts. I would recommend seeing if there is someone in the school that has a parent that drives to see if you can carpool her there with another student.

A taxi will cost you at least $50/day. A monthly bus pass (students get a 16% discount) will cost you a hair over $2 per day. For an entire school year that's $378 for the bus and $9000 for a taxi. Moral of the story: Take the bus. Save $8622. Put it in your daughter's college fund.

I bet you could make a deal with a young driver of one of those cute Prius or VW taxis to be on call most of the time, depending upon what their fares were. I did this in Oregon for a neighbor. The taxi driver gets to know the customer and it's cool.

Walk, bike, bus? :-) Barring physical or mental disabilities in the daughter. Walking! Even that several-mile distance or using a friendly and inexpensive bike is a great way to get exercise and stay in healthy condition. That said, suggesting that she herself seek shared rides among classmates, friends, and/or SBCraigsList Rides Wanted would be a teaching/learning lesson teaches a practical skill: Personal Responsibility. Wouldn't it be interesting to see ALL the kids walking or biking to schools?
