The Lakers first exhibition game is Sunday. I haven't heard, but I don't think TWC and Cox have made
a deal. How can we see it in SB?

I'm in the same boat with Directv as well. I'm holding off until the beginning of the season to see if they strike a deal. If they don't, I'll have to shell out the money for the season pass... no way am I going to miss this season!

Bars will still have it though, right? I'm super clueless because I usually listen to their games on AM radio. I would like to check out Steve Nash though -- going to be weird seeing him play for the Lakers

No, Bars will not have it. There is no possible way besides illegally streaming it to watch games right now in Santa Barbara.

624... Why even comment? @626, if you order the NBA package you will see every game.

The L.A. Times says that Time Warner will likely come to terms with Cox by the regular season. Has anyone called Cox?

The radio may come in handy here: KTMS (AM 990) should be providing the audio stream

649. No you won't. Santa Barbara is in the Lakers Media Market and therefore subscribing to the national package will be blacked out. That goes for anyone from San Diego to Fresno. Brighthouse networks and TWC are the only two carriers that will have tomorrow's game barring any changes. I submitted this story to Edhat weeks ago, never even got posted.

Basketball and the lakers is my fav thing to watch. Ive been watching EVERY game since i was 5 years old. It kept me out of trouble as a kid and i enjoy the game today just as much or more to a fault. These games give me something to look forward to after a hard day of work. I can be in the moment and forget for 3 hours that my job sucks and be completely involved in the game. Please COX hurry up and get TWsportsnetwork. The price does not matter to me. Its the one reason i have cable in the first place.

667, that is not true. I ordered the NBA package 4 years ago to watch the away games because DTV didn't broadcast KCAL in the SB area. They certainly were not blacked out.

It's a market blackout, TWC owes the Lakers 4 billion dollars and doing so has the exclusive right to broadcast both home and away games for the next 20 years. It's up TWC to reach agreements to further the number of homes the games will be broadcast and that's going to cost $4.95 a month. This extends from San Diego to Fresno and all of Nevada. You may not have been blacked out because DTV isn't local and someone didn't put 2 and 2 together. If you don't believe me go read the market blackout rules, it apples to both home and away games. The same rules have been in affect since League Pass came around. Bottom line, league pass won't get you lakers (or Clippers) games in SoCal.

Bill Plaschke, in the L. A. this morning says most of LA won't get the Lakers either including the Laker practice facility & Jeanie Buss who helped negotiate the deal. Plaschke does think all will be worked out by the regular season, but this is silly.

Go to www.iwantmylakers.com and generate an email to Cox asking that they add Time Warner Cable Sports Net to their channel line-up.

I agree with 649 re: 634. Why post? Don't you have a plant or a rock in your yard that you are pondering its origin? SB brew co might have it. They have everything and the best potato skins in town!

SPOILER Duh. Why alert when no one saw it?! I got online to find this, it's 9:49 here and AP posted at 9:40.
FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — David Lee scored 19 points and Klay Thompson added 18 to help the Golden State Warriors beat the Los Angeles Lakers 110-83 on Sunday night in both teams' exhibition opener.
