I know the Vans store used to make you a pair of vans with whatever material you wanted. Maybe they (or even Deckers in Goleta) can do something like this for you. Companies like those usually like to know ASAP what people are interested in.

Mexico, nice trip and they make gorgeous sandals for a fair price. Some of the best leather workers in the world!! Perhaps go to the farmer's market in Goleta and ask around, I'll be they know someone in our community who can do it for you.

Island Sandals on Maui. Michael will make your custom sandals for you, but will need you to trace your feet onto a sheet of paper and send to him.
The guy looks like he is from ZZTop but makes really really great sandals using the same method from 2000 years ago. Love mine!

In the '6 0's, Wesley Depp (sp?) made all the UCSB students I knew, sandals. They lasted years. I loved the smell of that shop.
