Santa Barbara County District Attorney Joyce E. Dudley announced today that Jesse
Daniel Todek was found guilty of Second Degree Robbery, a felony.
The conviction stems from a May 24, 2012, incident in Lompoc where Mr. Todek, a
22-year old, approached the victim and demanded his money. The victim refused and
Mr. Todek assaulted and knocked him to the ground. The victim, fearing for his life,
handed over his wallet and Mr. Todek fled. The victim immediately called "911,"
provided a description to responding Lompoc police officers, and the officers located
Mr. Todek shortly thereafter with the victim's property in his pocket.
Deputy District Attorney Wesley Meyer stated that "he found the verdict particularly
satisfying because of the extreme vulnerability ofthe victim."
Jesse Daniel Todek's sentencing date is October 31, 2012, before Honorable Patricia
Kelly, Mr. Todek will face a possible sentence of six years in prison. Because this is a
violent offense, he will serve eight-five percent of the imposed punishment.
