By Roger the Scanner Guy
FRYday. The other evening I was listening to the Scanner and heard that there was two men in their 50's on a roof of a restaurant in the first block of West Victoria. I did not hear the rest of the call so I never found out for sure if they were squatters or not. However through the years I have heard of Roof Squatters in the downtown area of Santa Barbara. If you have a business around town you might want to check out the roof once in a while make sure there's no one living up there, making a mess, lighting warming fires.
I don't think they are lighting warming fires on roofs but I would not put it past them. The other day I heard a guy was going door to door asking for clothing over on Shoreline. I should do that "Hey anyone got any size 56 Waist 36 Long Levis 501's? How about some size 15 Tennis shoes? 5XL Shirts? Will I'm here." I don't think anyone in Santa Barbara has my size so it would be a wasted walk for me going door to door. I do have a pair of size 44 Waist, brown cords brand new anyone needs ‘em. I got an old manual portable typewriter made in England just in case anyone comes over here door to door asking for typewriters, or stuffed animals, there a few other things I got laying around here. That damn Mouse is still squatting here I'm trying to be nice and not kill him but he's leaving me no choice I will probably shoot him eventually. I don't want to but I don't want to get any weird diseases either. He's driving me bananas, running here there everywhere. He outsmarts all my traps, ah the HELL with it.
After hearing the initial attempt kidnap call in North County yesterday I heard no more. I was kinda surprised. I expected the scumbag to try again he seemed intent on dragging the little girl in his truck. I'm glad she got away, not all kids do. When I was a kid another kid was nabbed from our town a six year old boy he was missing for days. He was found on the beach on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago face down naked strangled. His killer was never caught that was back in 1968 one of those murders that will never be solved. It doesn't happen very much but it does happen better to watch your children all the time then to deal with that kind of loss.
