Hope Ranch Inn

Does anyone know what is going on with the Hope Ranch Inn on State St. and 154? They are closed and locked up. Seems like they have been there forever.

They were planning a remodel. They must be getting started. There has been a story or two about it here on Edhat.

Reported several weeks ago that a S.F. developer will transform the site into a three story, Spanish-style hotel with 88 rooms.

The Hope Ranch Motel is gonna be dozed. A new upscale hotel will be built to take its place. Gone forever will be the cheap rooms freeway convenient.

The cheap rooms freeway convenient have been gone for a long time. They have mostly become sleazy dumps, and no traveler would want to find himself there. I guess it's unfortunate that times are changing and becoming the good old days, but it certainly isn't new.

I have wondered many times why they weren't the one who the runaway semi hit while careening thru the intersection. Always seemed odd to me that the truck allegedly was speeding out of control, but yet had the ability to negotiate a traffic light in the center divider and thread the needle down that narrow drive way to stop on the roof of a small family.

You can rent a hotel, buy porn,buy liquer, buy crack oh i mean methodone, guns across the way and a full love you long time message all in walking distance. what a cool place!

063 - Come to think of it a few months ago an episode of 'Chelsea Lately' featuring Jennifer Love-Hewitt made reference to females being offered 'happy endings' while getting massages "...at a resort just north of Santa Barbara that begins with the letter ..." If true it's nice to know a 'happy ending' can be obtained in posh surroundings. Our local tv stations should look into this as a public service for the fall "sweeps." Would make for a great hidden camera piece!
