I work at UCSB and was awoken twice in the early hours by my email alert going off. Classes start at UCSB tomorrow but for three students who were victims of 2 separate crimes over night, their lives may never be the same:

REPORTED OFFENSE: Between 12:00am and 12:30am, the victim was walking down the street, when she was approached by three to four white "college" aged male adults. The victim was then sexually assaulted by one of the white males.

REPORTED OFFENSE: The two victims (UCSB students) were walking together W/B on Del Playa Road. As they walked, they were approached by an unknown male. After a verbal exchange both were struck by the unknown male causing them to fall to the ground. The unknown male then ran off E/B on the 6600 block of Del Playa.

From the UCSB Alert System.

A woman was sexually assaulted in the early morning hours on Wednesday on the 6600 block of Pasado Road in Isla Vista. (09/28/12)
