While at Leadbetter Beach I saw these remains of a California spiny lobster.

Had never seen one that was so complete and those spines were very sharp, would not want to step on one of those guys.

A barnacle had attached itself right on top of its head.

Does anyone know why so many of these wash up with kelp on Leadbetter?
