Mystery Explosion

It was loud enough to rattle windows and bring people out of their houses looking for smoke -- or a crater! Neighbors said they'd heard similar, but not as loud, explosions earlier in the day as well as a couple of
days ago. And it wasn't a sonic boom! But we'd like to know what it was.

So people can assume it was Scottie going after gophers? If any one can give specifics about his technique I'd really appreciate hearing. We have tried for decades to come up with some thing successful. . .

I have sent a propane/air mixture down gopher tunnels then detonate the mixture with a long torch. If you get the right mixture it goes boom! and flames shoot out the holes. Pretty cool unless your the Dresden gopher.

I doubt it was Scottie -- there was a family event going on at MUS at that time. In any case, I can't believe it would be legal to kill gophers in that manner, especially at a school.
