Fire Hydrant Hook-Up

Sbfd hooked up to the hydrant outside my work blocking entrance to our business and
proceeded to spray the street with water for several minutes anyone have an idea why?

Yup what 309 said. Also they have to flush them every once in awhile (sitting water = yuck), so it could've been that too.
