February 7, 2005 - Talk to Ed
Yesterday while we were at the movies, the closing ceremonies, and the last party, were asking people the questions, “What was the best part about this year's Film Festival?” Here is what they said:

Deborah Cristobal
The best thing about the festival was the people. Everyone is interested in films, and it's great to connect with all of these people from within the film industry.

Jorjia Bordofsky
Being able to see a film like David Redmon's Marde Gras: Made in China get into a film festival. Redmon is not a traditional film-maker. The movie was a labor of love. I'll never be able to look at Marde Gras beads the same way.

Rendy Freedman
The best part of the festival was seeing Voces Inocentes (Innocent Voices).

Deborah Hutchison
All were high points. I think is the best festival we've ever had. The movies appealed to young and old. The talent and the panels were incredible.

Walking up to the screening of my film (Playing with Fire) and seeing a line out the door.

We enjoyed the conversations we had with the Film Festival staff, board members, volunteers, film makers, movie goers, and other members of the press.
