Bee Gone
March 3, 2009
Two years ago, there was a buzz about a new art and gift shop on Middle-State (Calle Laureles). The place was called Bee's Wing Art. Although the reviews were good, the parking was bad. And, within a short period of time, they closed down the hive and vacated the building. The store, as they say, became a has-bee'n. They didn't remove their State Street facing sign, and they didn't paint over the bee mural on the side of the building that faced the notorious Longs Drug Store parking lot (you know, the one where the $10 bill finally got stolen).
Eventually, a frame shop moved into the Bee complex, and eventually they removed the Bee's Wing sign. But, to this day they haven't painted over the bee mural. On Monday, the dedicated staff of edhat.com called the frame shop to see why they haven't invested in a can of paint for the canvas that is their outside wall. We thought they would tell us why, or maybe just tell us that it is none of our bee's wax. But as it turns out, the frame shop is closed on Mondays. So, we will rely on the Edhat faithful to comb the streets and get us an answer to that question.
Identifying the Bee earned contestants one March Edness point.
