What was originally planned as a Surfrider Foundation fund raising event showcasing the film 'Out There', recently grew to encompass fund raising for the medical expenses of local surfer/shaper Wayne Rich.

What doesn't seem well documented is just how much of a doldrums we go through after winter is behind us. Spring typically acts as a ball valve, shutting the party down in a matter of days. Winds blow for weeks, lowering the water temperature and creating a consistent chop on the water.
