Vanessa Isaac Brings Brazil's Hottest Export to Santa Barbara in August

Award-winning dancer and choreographer Vanessa Isaac of Hip Brazil will take you on an intoxicating journey to Brazil by way of Brazil's hottest export: dance. Learn the fundamentals of true Rio-style Samba; explore the hypnotic rhythms of Samba Reggae and the Afro Blocos da Bahia - the same rhythms that have seduced dancers and musicians around the world; and experience the powerful movement of contemporary Brazilian dance through Vanessa's signature style of teaching.

The renowned UCSB Afro-Brazilian Music Ensemble, led by the multi-instrumental talent of Music Director Matt Wright, will provide the hypnotic Brazilian rhythms, and Saturday night will culminate in a "Journey to Brazil" party at Red's, with legendary party-starter DJ Fab spinning his sexy-cool Brazilian beats well into the night.

If you are seduced by the rhythms of Brazil, if you love the joy that Vanessa's group brings to the Solstice Parade every year, or if you simply love to dance, then this is not an event to be missed! All workshops will be taught by Vanessa herself.

Nighttime Schedule: "A Journey to Brazil" Party with the fabulous DJ Fab Red's Wine Bar 211 Helena Ave, Santa Barbara, CA 93101 8:30pm
