In conjunction with the current exhibition Behind the Wheel, join us for a test preview of a richly detailed 3D animated short film about Berta Benz, a woman who, in 1888, defied the rules and opened the road for the future by taking her family on a wild ride that not only rescues them from disaster, but ushers in the bold new era of motorized cars. (15 min.)

After the screening, join in a discussion with Deborah Hutchison, film writer and producer; and Mindy Bingham, author, and Itoko Maeno, illustrator of the book, Berta Benz and the Motorwagen, that served as the inspiration for the movie.
