JOHN PERLIN PRESENTS STORY OF SOLAR ENERGY

The Santa Barbara Public Library System's Central Library is cosponsoring a presentation by John Perlin about his new book on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 5:00 p.m Let It Shine: The 6,000-Year Story of Solar Energy details the history of strategies to use the power of the sun for human benefit, from the architecture of the ancient Chinese, Greeks, and Romans to the widespread use of solar water heaters in California at the turn of the 20th century. The Central Library is located at 40 E. Anapamu St. in Santa Barbara.

Perlin's book has been met with the highest praise from the international science community. The community is invited to enjoy his entertaining talk and slides shedding light on a fascinating and timely topic. Granada Books is cosponsoring the event, and will have copies of Let It Shine for purchase and signing by the author.
