Waves and Rescue Off Leadbetter Beach
Submitted by: Betsy R. Cramer
Along with many others, I stopped by this afternoon to gaze at the dramatic waves. It was low tide but even so the waves were undercutting the sand
piled up by the yacht club. Luckily for two surfers, tired, perhaps, or unable to get to shore, Harbor Operations Manager Mick Kronman was on patrol on
the berm and saw their waving for help. Hardly a minute, if that, after he radioed the Harbor Patrol, the rescue boat was there.
