Fire Status
The fire is holding at 700 acres. The fire is located on Paradise Road, east of the Ranger Station on the north side of the Santa Ynez River. Daylight allowed a new estimate of the fire size at 700 acres. Low winds and humidities are currently helping limit the fire spread; however, expected temperatures in the 80's this afternoon are a concern. No structures are currently threatened. There have been no injuries.
A red flag alert for heightened fire danger has been extended for the area until Monday at 8:00 am.
Central Coast Type 2 Team 7, led by Incident Commander Jim Smith, will take over management of the fire at 1800 hours.
