Hello All! Congrats goes out to the Saints for kicking the Colts’ butts! I don't feel so bad about it because a few years back while I was surfing the net I found a site dedicated to a Saints fan. I have since lost the site and cannot remember the fellas name to find it but he was a college professor. He was a outspoken critic of the last presidential administration over Katrina. He went to Florida to pick up his Mothers ashes she had passed away, and while down there he was killed by a "Hit and Run" driver. I like to think that where ever he is he got to see that game yesterday, he got to see the Saints win the Super Bowl. I'm from Indiana actually born in a hospital on the Stateline of Illinois and Indiana so I go both ways, as far as sports goes.
Friday: There was a check the welfare of a woman who called 911 and stated that her child had been taken by someone in a van. Somewhere in the County there was an 1144, (death), in the 6600 block of Abrego in I.V. a burglary. In the 500 block of State Street behind Pierre La Fond an 242 (battery). A male wearing a plaid shirt, blue and grey, blue jeans and a ball cap hit a transient the suspect was with a woman but it sounds like when he got in his pick up truck to runaway she did not go with him. But a witness followed and reported to police where he was driving he was stopped in the 500 block of East Arrellaga. It sounded on the scanner like the victim was a woman. I think the whole thing was worked out between the slugger and the victim.
In the 1900 block of Holiday Hill road juveniles who had taken off with Mommie's car were pulling their friends who were on skateboards. There was this announcement: "There will be gunfire in the 400 block of Terrace Road for the next 30 minutes." It sounds like there was some sort of party or celebration, and maybe these people got a permit so it was O.K. I wonder what would happen if I applied for one of those permits?
In the 600 block of Linden a man was stalking a woman and he was under the influence of one substance or another, in the 600 block of Miramonte there was a burglary. There was a 23152, drunk driver white Toyota on Coast Village Road, the car is registered to someone living in the 200 block of South Salinas. There was an aubible alarm on Riven Rock Road. At Orcutt and Valley Roads there was an attack by a Pit Bull. I think 3 pit bulls were taken from the owner. There was a 415 disturbance at the County Animal Shelter on Underpants Road. In the 600 block of De La Vina, a woman was hit so hard by her boyfiend she could not move.
Saturday: At the International Market a clerk had a shoplifter pinned to the ground, that must have really hurt it would be worse if he nailed the shoplifter to the ground. Over on the West Side of Montecito Street 500 block residents came home and discovered there were burglars in their house, one suspect was described as 5'5 Hispanic male about 40 years old riding a black bicycle with red lettering on it. I guess the other fella wasn't seen. They gained entry by tossing a pair of garden shears through the front glass window. My take on this is they are gardeners they work in Montecito, they thought if they broke into a home on Montecito Street they would get away with it. So far they have.
A fella called 911 and requested the Sheriff respond up to the Casino because the night before he had a disagreement with security guards and they had roughed him up, he wanted to press charges. There was an 1144,(death) at Cottage Hospital. Illegal campers in the laundry room in the 200 block of Ladera, 1500 block of Nantucket Court burglary. On Camino Corto in Isla Vista 11-7 (hot prowl) combination (peeping Tom) Medical- 60 year old male with chest pains on California Ave. Somewhere in County land kids were shooting out the eyes of cars as they drove by. Medical emergency 200 block of Oceano Ave. Medical emergency APS Dificulty breathing. 594 (vandalism) on Via Real in Carpinteria electrical box.
Several people calling in reporting that their neighbor is throwing furniture and tearing their apartment apart, I did not got the address but if I had to guess I'd say Oceano. In the 300 block of East Carrillo a woman was screaming, in the 500 block of North La Cumbre there was a 415 between friends while Sheriff’s deputies were responding to the area another call came over the city police frequency that a subject leaving that residence was in possession of a hand gun, and last seen headed toward State Street but I think he got away, that day anyway he was driving an older primer Dodge van which sticks out like a sore thumb nowadays.
There was a call about a man exposing himself- but I missed the location. There was a report of Shots fired on Olive Street, a 415 Domestic 500 West Arrellaga, a non injury traffic accident 1000 block of Chapala Street, a code 40 drunk raising Hell also in the 1000 block of Chapala Street, a transient screaming for his bottle on Micheltorena Street, code 3 "Medic's" for the code 40 on Chapala but HELL it could have been anywhere.
Super Bowl Sunday: Waller Park Santa Maria report of a stolen vehicle Dark Blue Dodge Durango. Subjects loitering Budget Rent a car 130 Garden Street. Fire and Medics were responding to a vehicle vs. a pedestrian, I didn't catch the location. There was a petty theft in the 5800 block of Hollister. There was a report of a van wrapped in saran wrap on West Camino Cielo? Can anyone tell me why? I've seen people wrapped in saran wrap but vehicles? No. And after the call went out I heard no more but that's normal.
In the 3800 block of Alijana Way there was a 415 An ex-girlfiend, kept bothering her ex boyfriend she was driving a Toyota she probably wanted him to buy her an American car. A fella going through the trash in the 5300 block of Hollister looking for recycling got into it with a resident who didn't want him going through his trash, the resident called police and reported that the garbage picker told him he had a gun, yeah right! If the guy really had a gun what would he be picking in the trash for? I think the resident just wanted to get the guy in trouble. A concerned citizen called in from somewhere and reported that there was a little girl left in a car all by herself for over 5 minutes, they wanted the Sheriff deputies to respond.
The following calls were called in during the Super Bowl I was researching domestic violence calls I was surprised there was hardly any during the game: A male subject was laying out cold on the bike path off Patterson. Threats investigation at the city police dept. occurred on Valerio. Audible alarm in the 4600 block of Carpinteria Ave, another audible 1st block West Mason. 242 (battery) at the East Beach bathhouse, another 242, at Anacapa and Cota. The other day there was a report of a woman laying in the street in the 1400 block of Lou Dillon Lane. Sounds like someone might need to go to ANGER MANAGEMENT.
After the Saints marched all over the Colts: 400 block of De La Vina 5150 throwing things inside of home, cares called. A 415 between a fellas ex-wife and current wife, lucky him. A 484 (theft) parking fee from the parking lot at 1st West Guiterrez. 594(vandlism) spray paint front of church on Nopal. "Cancel Cares subject has left." I'd leave too.
Naked transient refusing to leave the courtyard of the Rescue Mission 535 East Yanonali Street. Theft of alcohol from Albertsons in Orcutt, note to self: remove license plate next time. Micheltorena and San Andreas 415 (Jerk) 400 block Park Place 415 Domestic verbal. Medical 315 West Carrillo, seizures. Suspicious circumstances trespassers at Hope School. Rancheria code 40 in traffic. 1st block of West Guiterrez grey van code 40 drunk driver (keeps turning over ignition and honking horn.) Probably a Saints Fan headed to jail.
That wasn't all there was there were numerous code 40, drunk and disturbing, medical emergencies, Check the welfares, illegal camping, I didn't list them all just what sounded to me to be more serious. Anyway have a great Monday, see you on Wednesday, Love Roger
