Well most of my weekend was spent searching for my little baby girl and I didn't find her but hopefully I will, one way or the other. My little baby Calico Angel Baby. Late into the evening I listened to the scanner and I would have to say it must have been pretty busy in Santa Barbara over the weekend, as things went.
Here we go, Friday: Earlier in the morning these was a death in the 1100 block of San Andreas. At around 1P.M. New Years day SBPD detained a subject on a parole violation at Milpas and Quinientos. City Police assisted Fire on a possible forced entry on a medical emergency on Veronica. A man was punching a woman’s door he did not know sounded like somewhere in Noleta.
Over on Milpas down the street from my home police had a feller down on the sidewalk who stole a lot of vodka in small bottles. I would have done my best downing a few of those before I got caught. There was a code 40 future ex-employee at work refusing to leave as some of you know code 40 is drunk. Has anyone in Scannerland ever showed up to work drunk?
A 459 investigation to Rite Aid I think on South Milpas and maybe that's where all those bottles of Vodka can from, I don't know. There was a medical emergency for a female in pain in the 2800 block of State Street, a 415 guest disturbed in the 1600 block of State Street, actually what they said on the scanner was "415 Guest who is no longer there disturbing." Then the name of the joint in the 1600 block of State Street. Well I'm no longer there and at least some of you want me. There were 3 trash barrels burning in the driveway in the 600 block of West Mission, Engine 5 was able to handle it.
Later on in the evening there was a jogger running Westbound in traffic on Calle Real who almost ran into a couple moving cars. I think the guy was really drunk he thought he was driving his car since he was running the way many drunk drivers drive into traffic. From the 3000 block of State there was a 23152 Drunk Driver in a silver Jetta. There was an attempt to locate a woman who requested a ride on Haley never heard the rest of that whether or not she was located. Later in the evening, around 11:30 P.M., there was a report of a wrong way driver on Highway 135 just South of Highway 1, in the Southbound lanes so he must have been going North.
Saturday: Many of these calls came quick, (no pun intended) So I'm writing exactly what I got, 459 burglary to auto Noleta, difficulty breathing Val Verde, a 242 assault on Misson County somewhere possibly Solvang, another 242 J.J.'S Liquor 300 Castillo, Code Blue medical emergency County, there were two code blues in different places in the County. A 17-year-old was getting kicked out of his home and was fighting with his Mother so there was a 415 Domestic, (County). A head injury on the Football field at Santa Barbara High School, a non-injury accident involving a Seabreeze and a Honda Accord on Alamo Pintado, in the 3500 block of State Street there was a very drunk white man falling in the street. In the 300 block of West Valerio there was a burglary to a residence, at 500 Nino's a Hispanic man pulled a knife on a security guard, he was 5'8 200 pounds wearing a cameo shirt last seen running toward the cemetery not sure but I think he might have got caught, there was an unresponsive male at the East Beach Bath House 1118 East Cabrillo, there was a medical emergency at the Encina Lodge on Bath street for heart problems. Somewhere in the wee wee hours of the evening a drunk man had just drained his lizard.
In the 800 block of East Anapamu there were suspicious circumstances as a man was pounding on a woman’s door and refused to go away, on Flora Drive there was 415 Neighbors, on Calle Suerto an assault as in battery then a check the welfare of a man who might have been beat up by a bully in the 800 block of North Salsipuedes. A request for a supervisor in the 400 block of Olive Street. At Peabody school a dark hooded figure was seen hopping a fence then running another officer added "That sounds like the prowler we had this morning in the same area."
There was a 415 disturbance at Our Lady of Sorrows, 5 shots were heard in the area of Santa Cruz and San Miguel, there was a 20002 investigation the victim was now at home on Poor La Mar, another 2002 investigation in the lobby of the SBPD. A medical emergency in Montecito an elderly female with a severe cut on her foot.
Medical emergency 1100 San Andreas chest pains, 6 subjects fighting on "Big Sur Drive." When deputies arrived 20 subjects were milling about as a party was breaking up of course some were running away, too. There was a check the welfare at 229 Big Sur as blood was found on the center console of a vehicle parked nearby and I heard no more, city police were doing a traffic stop in the 300 block of South Milpas, at 210 Stearns Warf someone was refusing to pay for their meal, Harbor Patrol was on scene city P.D. was on the way, there were traffic stops at 3800 State, and 300 West Arrellaga.
Around 10:30 Saturday night there was an audible alarm at the Sea Landing that I believe turned out to be a burglary, I'm not sure but it sounded that way, there was an unknown type medical at 175 La Cumbre, a couple people were fighting in I.V. Market also near Keg and Bottle, anyone ever try to drink a keg by themselves? Me and another guy almost finished one once. It was four to sex subjects fighting, oh I mean six sorry about that. Audible alarm at Sears.
Sunday: 7:30 P.M. Group of subjects drinking in front of 7-11, didn't say which one. 415 Fight at the apartments 5700 block of Al Clay Hee Hoo! At Carls Jr. home of the $2.50 cent "Big Carl" there were 2 code 40 drunks refusing to leave 7 South Milpas, there was a child custody dispute on San Rafael, a medical emergency 200 Hitchcock for someone with High Blood Pressure, and a bloody nose. 3 "gang types" grabbed a woman and held her around the 1500 block of Garden, a medical emergency for chest pains 400 block East Valerio, K-9, 2 Was out on a couple subjects 900 block Carpinteria, depuites were also out on subjects Calle Real and Brandon, traffic stop at Calle Real and El Sueno, illegal parking 500 Fig Ave.
Drunks were throwing and breaking bottles at J.J.'s Liquor is quicker, 1st block West Cota code 40 roommate yelling. 7500 block of Cath. Oaks 415 Domestic x 2, 1100 block De La Vina "Found Property" phony license plate on car on Kellogg. At this point someone actually tried to get into my house since I was in one of my moods I went out looking for them, but saw no one.
There was a 23152 driver in a Dodge pick-up "all over the road" at 101 and Linden. I think a deputy caught up with him, a black SUV 23152. On Los Positas, a code 40 passed out in front of City College, doesn't sound like he got that far with his education. Around midnight there were a group of juveniles disturbing in the 600 block of West Canon Perdido. And that's all I have for now see ya on Wednesday. Roger
